Here are just a few of the testimonials that we hear every day! Enjoy! A grandmother writes regarding her five year old granddaughter... Dear Ms. Denie; More and more I realize what a blessing you are. Of course, I've always prayed that our Lord work in and direct ___ and all those involved with her life--that she may be the best she can be according to His good will and purpose. I'm without doubt that He led us to you. ____'s self-esteem and confidence is sky-rocketing. She makes 100% on her grades (spelling and math). Her social skills are ever better. You are a support in our desire to make God a part of our daily lives. We are so grateful to God and to you. When you are tired and frustrated...don't forget the many children and families that you touch for God. May our Lord bless you greatly that you may continue to bless others...
A mom writes regarding her three
year old...
We
have thoroughly enjoyed the Music program at Muscle Shoals Music Academy.
All the teachers and staff have been extremely loving, devoted, kind and
patient. We are very fortunate to have a wonderful music program for
(...) to learn and value a love of music and the Lord.
Just
as Ms. Denie has said music is a GIFT: a three fold process in which parent,
teacher & child are working and communicating together as a
unit/one to complete a common wonderful goal. The gift is that special
communication between us all when we convey in a loving and enjoyable manner
the love of music to others by praising/smiling on God's Musical
Kingdom. Making everyone involved feel comfortable loved and accepted in the
music making process no matter what their abilities because we are all God's
children is the key to success.
We
have tried to be conscientious parents as we have made the fabulous journey
from starting the MSMA program with (... ) at 18 months singing, playing,
acting out the finger plays and songs when she is in the bathtub, car,
kitchen or outside playing. The most amusing air piano she has played
was on her Grandpa's toes. She will spontaneously start playing her
recital piece anywhere because she loves and enjoys every aspect of music
she has experienced. We thank Ms. Denie for the love of music she has
instilled in her heart that will last a lifetime.

old...
(...) truly loves your class. She is so driven and determined!
I thank you for keeping the recorder in the program. My personal
feelings on the introduction to new musical instruments is that the more
exposure you have, the better! She likes to tell people that she can play
the violin, piano, recorder, tambourine, bongo drums, and triangle! She
has already benefited from the program so much. She is a first grader
at ___ Elementary and reads on a fourth grade level. Her
teacher is always apologizing to me that she doesn't have enough time to
spend challenging her, But, she is very happy right where she is...she is a leader
and does not struggle, which enables her to keep up her extracurricular
things...dance, music, sports, etc. Thanks again, Denie!

A mom write regarding her 2 year
old...
Your program has helped set (...)
apart from other children his age on many levels. He is an excellent
listener and thinker, enjoys near total recall of past event and sounds
that he may have heard briefly, and delights in rhyme and rhythm. Teaching
him things that he is interested in is sort of easy. Currently, we are
involved with consonants, the states, Mexico, some Spanish and money (the
presidents and different denominations, etc). I mean, these are topics he
initiates!!

A
school teacher writes:
My
students who are in your MSMA classes at (...) school on
average are reading small books by the end of Kindergarten and are reading
on a fifth grade level by the end of Second grade. Excellent work! Thank
you to you and their parents.

A mom writes regarding her 3 year
old...
"(...) is learning the "Five Finger
Song" while using the 1,2,3,4,5 fingers and back 5,4,3,2,1on one hand,
though we are not there yet in class. He is reading simple text: cat, bat
etc., spelling and sounding out words. He is really de-coding
the reading thing on his own, in his own way. It is marvelous to watch him.
Although we have many tools for him here--he is going about reading the old
fashioned way; phonics, linking pictures to words, and the joy of reading
and being read to. Simple, but very effective. (...) has been
"into" Beethoven for some time now--(he states his
favorite song is Fur Elise, but hums 'Ode to Joy' from the 9th symphony all
the time ) -- he wants to be a composer, "like Ms. Denie and
Beethoven"..."

A note from a Huntsville mom. Her son is 4 1/2 years old and is completing Level One Kids 'n Keys. "We sure do love music class! I can't even imagine not having that in our lives. Thanks for the great job you do! I've been meaning to tell you that ____ is currently reading at around a second or third grade level. I have no doubt at all that his participation in music class and the music he's been exposed to in our home has played a part in that. Pretty neat! Thanks... *** (My son) is a testimony to the greatness of you and your program. He is reading above his age level as well. We are not testing him yet, but he has many more sight words than a typical KG student. Last night was such a blessing to me in class. I was shocked and thrilled that he followed the lead of the group so well speaking into the microphone. He is struggling in school (we think he has been overwhelmed by the volume and full day)...but music class has given him a chance to be in a group and be successful. Thank you again and again for allowing my special needs child to find a place of love and acceptance. Music Works! ...A Huntsville Parent *** My daughter has been in Early Childhood Music since 19 months old. She is now in Kids ‘n Keys and is currently in 1st grade. Her school teacher was amazed to report that reading tests show that she is reading at 4th grade level! She has an older sister who is not in music, is reading at the normal range for her age, and gets straight A’s. When the older sister needs to sound out a difficult word, she asks the younger sister. The mom is assured that this is a result of MUSIC. So are we. Music Works! ...a Muscle Shoals Mom *** |
